Crítica ao novo-desenvolvimentismo

Resumo


Nossa crítica ao novo-desenvolvimentismo tem duas partes. Primeiro, não nos parece haver evidência de relevância especial da indústria para o processo de desenvolvimento econômico, em comparação com os demais setores. Segundo, mesmo que houvesse, parece-nos que o remédio sugerido pelos novos-desenvolvimentistas, forte intervenção no mercado de câmbio, teria impacto relativamente pequeno e seria de difícil implantação no Brasil. Cada um destes pontos será tratado nas duas partes a seguir. O texto fecha com uma rápida conclusão.
